Growing families

Assalamu Alakium

So its been nearly a month since the birth of my second grandchild  and wow has it been hectic ... his big sister is nearly 2 and such a handful , i find this generation of kids are different to when i grew up or even to when i had my kids ....

So far what we have dealt with is the boy having to have numerous blood test done due to jaundice , its amazing as to the level it gets to in order to have these tests done ... alhamdu lilah everything was fine but still as the yellow is still in he eyes he had to go for a prolong jaundice test to make sure its nothing to do with the liver so now we wait for the results

Im in such awe with this little fellow to the point that when he cries and does this special thing with his bottom lip i find my heart breaks and all i want to do is pick him up and cuddle him and then he does it a second time and  find tears coming into my eyes ,,,,ive become one of those soppy grandmothers lol,,,

But really life is good and these kids are a blessing to us all including my daughter ....when he was born he weighed 4kilo 760g such a big baby ma shaa Allah last time he was weighed he weighed 5kilo 570g ...hes becoming a chunky monkey 😍😍

It will be interesting to see what this little man will do next and what adventures we will have with him and his sister

Guest post From Halal Home Cooking ....Pancakes with a twist

As-Salaamu Alaykum I'm Umm Hamza from  Halal Home Cooking  today I'm sharing a recipe for a breakfast staple with a twist. Pancakes are my children's favourite breakfast food. They will gladly eat cereal with milk, creamy porridge and jam/jelly doughnuts but unlike those aforementioned staples that only get half to three quarters eaten because A. they turn soggy B. get's cold and sticky or c. no jam left, pancakes will  always  be eaten, no excuses. Once you've honed your basic pancake recipe you are free to experiment with flavour combinations and that's exactly how these chai spiced chocolate and tahini pancakes came about ma sha Allah Source :  http://www.drinkmechai.co.uk/chai/latte/spiced-chai-latte.html I found this chai spiced latte powder whilst searching 'halal' during my on-line grocery shopping. I'm always hoping when hitting that search button new products will pop up and this time it d...
