Half Way Their

So  masha`allah we have reached the half way mark in ramadan and how are we feeling about it all

well i have to say good masha`allah ...have i managed to reach the goals i set for myself ... not all of them but i`m getting their masha`allah

do i think i can do more........ well i think we always can do more .... we should never settle as we ourselves dont know weither what we have done is enough or not

One thing i can say is that this ramadan i have concentrated more on my salat and feel at ease and so calm while praying as well as learning some new duas

tomorrow i will have a day to relax as i have made enough food to last the two days so no cooking for me so i will take this time to try to learn some quran

My son whos my eldest goes to the masjid everyday and is about to start his 5th hisbh of the quran and masha`allah i`m so proud of him as well as my girls they also do quran but only once a week as their been thought by a female teacher who can only manage once a week their learning surah al khaf and must have half of it learned as they will be reciting it at the end of the week in a computation

Whoever recites the Qur'an, memorizes it, accepts its halal (lawful things) as halal and haram (forbidden things) as haram (i.e. his beliefs in these matters are correct), Allah, the Exalted, will enter him to Paradise and accept his intercession on behalf of ten such persons of his family upon whom entry into Hell has become incumbent (i.e. Allah will forgive them because of his intercession)."
(Ahmad, Tirmidhi, Ibn Majah, Darimi).

Continue reciting the Qur'an because on the Day of Qiyaamah it will appear as an intercessor for the reciter.
(Muslim).

So i will leave you now and ask allah to forgive each of us for what we may ave done this past year or so and that he will accept our fast and help us to be better muslimah coming out of this holy month than going into it

La Koka (algerian pizza)

we are one for pizza and this ramdan you can believe that alot of pizza was made  and eaten .... but last year i remember my dh coming home and saying i will teach you a new one ...so i said go ahead masha`allah it was delicious ....the amazing thing was their is no cheese on this pizza ...(what i hear you say).... yes no cheese so basically  i use the same pizza dough as here then i spread just tomato puree and not the sauce i usually use all over the dough ... then i cut fresh tomatoes in circles and for my dh we take the seeds out as he believes their not good for the stomach ...and i place these around the dough and into the middle .... now what make this pizza it i place sardines that have been salted and the salt remains on it  this i open and take the bones out and tear it  into little pieces and place aound the pizza when finished place in oven till dough is cooked then take out and brush some oil normal oil over the top and cut and eat ... believe you...

French Laof

Asalam wa alikum So as you know i`m not really one for baking ... but when a good recipe comes my way i must tell you about it I have had this recipe for a while and never got around to trying it so as i was making my muffin bread i thought let me try this one ... Its a french loaf and so simple and easy 2 cups of water (warm) 2 tbsp sugar 2 tbsp of yeast instant 2 tbsp of salt ... i felt it was a bit too much so i reduced it to 1 2 tbsp of oil (veg) 5 cups of flour mix well and knead dough then allow to rise punch back the dough then place on a tray allow to rise again and place in a hot oven it takes about 20 mins or so and masha`allah what a lovely bread we toasted it and had butter and jam for breakfeast enjoy and let me know how it works out

whats cooking

so today my mil brought me some rishta and chicken , so that was dinner for tonight rishta and i done something extra cauliflower and cheese which i love it`s a piety i didnt have brown sauce to go on top .... i know not nice ... but to me it is ingredents i pack of rishta i chicken chickpeas onion courggets luft (white raddish) or you can use parsnip black pepper salt cinnamon method chop the onion small add chicken pieces and place in a pot with a little oil and cook for a few mins then add spices and chickpeas and place lid on leave fora few mins then add some water halve way through add veg  in the meantime prepare the rishta , this can be steamed the same way as cous cous it`s just cauliflower with a bachemal sauce and cheese of your choice , i can only really get cheddar here , their are other but i`m not a cheese person so i don`t bother and if my dh was here i would put some garlic in the bachemal as that is the only way my dh will eat cauliflower enjoy
