What have i been doing

well thats the question ... what have i been doing or up to ..... well over the last month and a half my life has changed ... i have become more grounded and know where i ant to go with it .... even my dh has found a new lease of life that has affected all of us ..... sometimes we get so caught up in the day to day of our lives that we forget whats the most important and that is allah  and the reason we are here .... so this past month we have step it up and making sure that all in our house prays on time ... makes dikhr all the time ... we have even reduced the amount of tv watched ... masha`allah since we have been doing this  things are looking different  ... we feel lighter in our ways

quran is played more and i have even gone back to reading and studying too ... which is great ... i`m loving this new lease on life and alhamdul`ilah allah has given us this chance too

as you will have seen i havent posted much for a while and this begin the reason ... i havent  tried anything new but what i have done is a little more crocheting to keep me going and to keep my little one warm this winter .... they are just simple cardis and a blanket but i love how they turned out .... the original pattern  i have posted before and also a video of the tutorial  i found it on   just look through the pages and you will find it .... the original  pattern is for a 0 to 3 month old so i had to do some thinking and see where i could make it bigger to fit my 2 year old ... if your interested i will give you the places just let me know

Guest post From Halal Home Cooking ....Pancakes with a twist

As-Salaamu Alaykum I'm Umm Hamza from  Halal Home Cooking  today I'm sharing a recipe for a breakfast staple with a twist. Pancakes are my children's favourite breakfast food. They will gladly eat cereal with milk, creamy porridge and jam/jelly doughnuts but unlike those aforementioned staples that only get half to three quarters eaten because A. they turn soggy B. get's cold and sticky or c. no jam left, pancakes will  always  be eaten, no excuses. Once you've honed your basic pancake recipe you are free to experiment with flavour combinations and that's exactly how these chai spiced chocolate and tahini pancakes came about ma sha Allah Source :  http://www.drinkmechai.co.uk/chai/latte/spiced-chai-latte.html I found this chai spiced latte powder whilst searching 'halal' during my on-line grocery shopping. I'm always hoping when hitting that search button new products will pop up and this time it d...
