tonights dinner

it`s hard always trying to this of what to cook for dinner as you don`t want to always cook the same things so i took some chicken pieces out of the frezzer and thought what can i do with this , then i remembered i have some spinach so along time ago a friend of mine showed me a red sauce using the spinach so i though let me add the chicken and see how this works ingredients a few chicken pieces some spinach potatoes garlic black pepper cumin carwia salt method place chicken and garlic in a pot with a little oil and put on a low heat  cook for about 5 mins then add spices and cook for another few mins then add some water or chicken stock and let cook for a little while then add spinach and continue once everything is nearly cook add a little tomato puree and let the sauce reduce a little while all of this is cooking  fry up some chips and then add to sauce insha`allah you will enjoy this , my kids left nothing on the plate masha`allah

whats for dinner

so lately we have been eating alot of rice at my dh rerquest and one of the things i have cook is a curry, chicken and green beans to be exact i normally put mushrooms and peppers , but one day i decided to try it this way and masha`allah it turned out nice as i used natural yougart to help with the cooking ingredients 2 chicken fillets 1/s kilo of green beans 3/4 pots of natural yougart black pepper cumin carwia coriander saffron tumeric ginger curry powder salt method place chicken and spices and yogurt in a bowl and leave for about a hour or more depends on yourself then after this time add to a pot and place on a medium heat once everything has loosened add you green beans and cook until everything is soft i sometimes add a little tomato puree and if i want the sauce thick i will add a little flour that i have mixed with a little water it as easy as that

eid cakes

so tomorrow is eid yeaaaahhhhh i`m not one for baking, and those that know me would tell you yes thats true, but this year alot has changed  and i started to bake some different types of cakes so i`ve been asked are you baking for eid and as usual my answer no , well that was until last night when i decided to give it ago so this morning off i went to the kitchen and started and by the time it was to break our fast i had finished masha`allah i didn`t makelot of different kinds as i don`t know that much, but as the years go on i will try to increase it so here is what i made and now in a while i will make a carrot cake and maybe something else , i will just have to wait and see

well it`s nearly

so we are coming back to that time of school again and new routines , so what will be in store this year i have 2 in secondary school and 1 still in primary, so i will be all over the place , trying to figure out who to pick up first last year it was fine as ds came down to the primary school by himself but now the dd 11 is in their and i know that some time their classes will not finish at the same time so i will have to figure out about getting her as she will finish at the same time as the dd9 anyway i`m not going to stress myself over it now

thinking

so masha`allah today i had to make two different types of borak one with potatoe, onions , mince, tuna, chesse, and one with potatoe, onions, minced turkey ,olives, chesse so then i started to remember the first time i made them , my dh tried to teach me and his way was the strangest it wasn`t till i met my best friend when i learned to make them much better so we also made some turkey breast marinated in lemon juice with black pepper, salt , ginger , and garlic and after about an hour i placed it in flour , then egg and then homdae bread crumbs mixed with garlic and black pepper the were delious and to go with it on my dh request was garlic mayo also homemade

kids

so we are in the last week of ramadan and eid is coming soon, so my kids are getting excited esp dd11 she has decided to put her money together with one of the neighbours so that they can buy each mother a gift to say thank you for all the hard work we have done this ramadan . as for the other two not sure what they are doing they are all hush hush so our eid will be an experience this year as i will have the baby with me , we normally go for eid prayer , so i`m hoping insha`allah that i can go this year too so i leave you with this Hadith 2.73 (Al-Bukhari) Allah’s Messenger (sallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam) never proceeded (for the prayer) on the Day of Eid-ul-Fitr unless he had eaten some dates. Anas (radiallahu ‘anhu) also narrated: The Prophet (sallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam) used to eat odd number of dates.
